Patriots Coach Bill Belichick Attends Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes
Patriots Coach Bill Belichick made a surprising appearance at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, accompanied by NFL stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
On the Monday, July 8 episode of the “Fore Play” podcast, Sam Riggs Bozoian recounted his Amsterdam trip, including attending Swift’s concert. During the show, he noticed Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Kelce, along with Mahomes and Belichick. “It was chaos, and it was really cool,” Bozoian recalled.
At 72, former New England Patriots coach Belichick's enjoyment of the concert was no surprise, given the NFL's warm embrace of Swift since she began dating Kelce, 34. The relationship began after Kelce attended one of her Kansas City concerts, which motivated him to pursue her.
Swift, 34, publicly supported Kelce starting in September 2023, attending his games. The NFL capitalized on this by featuring her music in promotional clips and highlighting her during broadcasts of Kansas City Chiefs games.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell acknowledged the positive impact of Swift and Kelce's relationship in a November 2023 interview with CBS, stating, “It has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL. [Swift is] an unbelievable artist, and Travis is an unbelievable player. It's great for the league to have that kind of attention.”
Earlier this year, the NFL addressed speculation about Swift’s Eras Tour influencing the league's season schedule. Mike North, NFL VP of Broadcast Planning, confirmed in May that they considered her tour dates in NFL stadiums.
Swift, meanwhile, has maintained a casual attitude toward the public interest in her personal life. In a December 2023 interview with TIME, she explained, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
